Work closely with internal and external, technical and non-technical customers within the University fundraising community, to deliver data and systems to users in order to help support development efforts at the university. Participate directly in the system analysis, project planning and implementation of software development, and software support activities of the Web & Data Integration team. Reports to: Associate Director of Development Services -- Web, Data Integration

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Excellent technical, verbal and written communication, organizational skills and demonstrated ability to provide effective customer service to a diverse group of people. * Proven ability to work independently, assume responsibility, exercise good judgment and communicate effectively. * Demonstrated skills using agile methodology, Test Driven Development with continuous integration (Scrum would be a plus).

Description:
The Medical School Application and Information Services Office is seeking a qualified candidate to develop and maintain web-based applications used to meet the tripartite missions of education, research and patient care at the Medical School.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. - Seven or more years of experience in the development of web based or client side applications. - Seven or more years of experience (and proficiency in) with web technologies and Java. - Experience with version control systems such as subversion or GIT. - Experience with front-end web development using HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as JQuery. - Demonstrated experience using SQL. - Demonstrated experience with unit-testing frameworks such as JUnit. - Experience in project management, negotiation, and conflict resolution. - Experience with complexity, problem solving, and ambiguity. - Three or more years of experience with agile development techniques including story writing and paired programming. - Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and Hudson. - Demonstrated experience with test driven development. - Experience mentoring other developers, helping to grow the skills of a team, and providing design-level guidance to less experienced developers. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Clear written and verbal skills are an expectation. - Demonstrated experience in performing well given high level direction from supervisors, informal leaders, or the team.
