Retrofitting an 80 year-old downtown building with cutting edge green technologies is no easy task. But when your architecture firm is renown for its sustainable designs it makes sense to walk the talk.  So, A3C (Ann Arbor Architects Collaborative) jumped in with both feet when it decided to rennovate its building with an eye toward attaining a zero-carbon footprint..

From rooftops to toilets, insulation to carpeting, lighting to heating, Metromode tours A3C's ambitious redevelopment. Click on the YouTube video below and prepare to feel inspired (or inadequate).

Music by Pierre Journel. The tune is called Grand Frere and can be found at podshow.com.
