Ingenex expands to four employees in downtown Ann Arbor, looks to add two more

Ingenex Digital Marketing is just a small business in downtown Ann Arbor that once used to be two businesses. Now the Internet marketing firm is looking to hire two people in the next year, including one right now.

Most business know how to handle their everyday appearance, but it seems like more and more have trouble with their online presence. That’s where the Ingenex Digital Marketing comes in.

“We’re trying to help companies figure out what they need to do on the Internet,” says Ross Johnson, a partner with Ingenex.

The Ann Arbor-based firm focuses on digital marketing through avenues like Internet advertising and developing website banner ads. The firm began in its present day form when Johnson merged his firm 3.7 Designs with Derek Mehraban’s Ingenex.

The two firms often worked together. It reached the point when the two men decided it made more sense to be in business together.

“Whenever one of us needed the other we worked together and it worked out well,” Ross says.

The firm now has four employees and hopes to hire two more by end of the year. It’s currently looking to fill one of those positions, a full-time website developer.
