Jobs Landed: Rochelle Pribyl

I will still be a Unit Secretary which is something I enjoy doing.  It's definitely never the same day twice.  I am a part of what is called the Unit Team which consists of the Unit Manager, 2 Counselors, 2 Case Managers, and myself as the Unit Secretary.  Each member plays a crucial part in helping each other do their job.  The Counselor works with the daily problems inmates may have while inside, while the Case Manager handles an inmate's case as far as preparing for releasing and what they are doing to help themselves while in prison. The paperwork filters down from each and I do a little bit of everything to help make their jobs easier.  As the Unit Secretary I am tasked with completing the releasing inmates paperwork, any transfers (medical, or institution), filing, running rosters (basically to see when an inmate is releasing), routing of any and all paperwork, handling routine inquiries, checks reports for errors, create inmate central files and maintain strict accountability of central files until transfer, or release from a halfway house.  Any employee for the BOP is also responsible for the security of the institution as we are all seen as Correctional Workers first.
