Places: Corner Brewery

It's a brewery, you know the routine - stay with the taps and you'll be fine. Bottles = banality. Fresh pour = happiness. Try the Espresso Love or Sacred Cow Pale Ale. Kick back with friends or do some web surfing. Extra points for being a non-smoking establishment. Everyone who's anyone in Ypsi eventually stumbles into the Corner, and the beer garden is ground zero for locals during the summer. Plus twice a year The Shadow Art Fair moves in with bands, locally made artsy stuff and gobs of visitors. It ain't all Nirvana, though. The food struggles but who needs it. They say 26 beers a day will give you everything you need to survive. Don't know who 'they' are but someone should give 'em a grant. And don't let the hippies get you down. They're the harmless, not-evil kind.

MONDAY NIGHT: Everyone in Ypsi washes up at the Corner eventually but Mondays seem to be when you're most likely to run into someone you haven't seen for awhile. There isn't much to harsh your mellow. In the winter the cozy, comfy living room furniture turns the south side of the brewery into your home away from home. In summertime the beer garden becomes prime real estate. Or grab a table in the main room and play a board game with pals.
