Ann Arbor entrepreneur gets back into biz game with 300 Decisions

When Helen Dennis decided to start another business relocation service firm, she decided to call it 300 Decisions. The name comes from the guesstimate of how many questions a business must ask itself when it is moving. This is Dennis' first entrepreneurial rodeo. She built Project Advantage, also a business relocation services firm, in Ann Arbor until it was acquired in 2006 by a larger corporation. She started 300 Decisions with similar goals in mind. "I wanted to go back out into the world as an entrepreneur," Dennis says. "It's the same practice with another name." 300 Decisions currently employs four people and has two open positions. It just opened its Chicago office. It is also planning to open offices in 15 other cities across North America. Even though there are more natural logistical hubs for a relocation business like 300 Decisions, Dennis has no plans to move her business from her hometown of Ann Arbor. "It's where I live," Dennis says. "I love the resources in Ann Arbor. I like the talent and energy."
