U-M takes lead in $152M NASA satellite project
It appears that some folks at U-M are REALLY into the Weather Channel. It looks like the U will be taking the lead in a $152 NASA satellite project that will help better predict hurricanes and extreme weather. Excerpt: "The Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) will make accurate measurements of ocean surface winds throughout the life cycle of tropical storms and hurricanes. It's a constellation of small satellites that will be carried to orbit on a single launch vehicle." Read the rest here.
