All kidding aside, Logan is one of Ann Arbor’s few destination restaurants. And as opposed to most local eateries you can actually have a conversation with your dinner date. Good acoustics in The Deuce are a rare thing but here, the buzz words are intimate and audible. 

Well, I guess you can add delicious to that list as well.

Upscale and tasteful (decor and food), this innovative bistro could hardly be accused of putting on airs. Instead you’ll find co-owner Kevin Hobart expertly matching wines to your meal and a serving staff that is attentive but not intrusive. Sometimes the food is prettier than it is tasty but the stand outs are, well, truly stand out. Try the signature Thai scallops – giant and tender, bathed in a curry sauce that takes an entire day to prepare. (Who says you can’t get decent seafood in the Midwest?)

As they say in Oregon, the dinners are “spendy” but the lunches are special and reasonably priced. Beer battered skate wings and pulled BBQ chicken make clear the cuisine is decidedly nouveau Americana. If you can, grab a window seat and watch Ann Arbor’s nightlife (such as it is) saunter by.
