To celebrate 50 years of good and to close out a year-long celebration of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation’s 50th Anniversary, we have one more story to share and hope our community will help us write it.

With the help of generous sponsors, the Community Foundation is providing $500,000 in matching funds to inspire our community to give generously to support the work of 50 local nonprofits. We’re hoping to generate $1 million for 50 local nonprofits in 24 hours on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

For each of the 50 participating nonprofits, AAACF will match 1:1 every dollar raised online on Tuesday, May 6th up to $10,000 for each nonprofit, making it possible for a nonprofit to raise $20,000 or more in one day.

Anyone can make an online gift ($10 minimum) to one or more of the 50 participating nonprofits at www.givelocalannarborarea.org  and double their gift.

We hope you join us. It’s going to be a rewarding day.

One of the many ways the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation continues to support all that is good in our local community.
