Ann Arbor-based Adaptive Materials is rewriting the book on Fuel Cell 101, and schooling both students and Michigan’s economy about alternative energy innovation and its economic implications.

With over 60 workers and a brand new 47,000-square-foot headquarters in Pittsfield Township, husband-wife team Michelle and Aaron Crumm have built Washtenaw County’s next generation of industry by leveraging its best assets, namely: U-M talent, green-minded practices and an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
