Wayne‘s World wannabes be advised, Ann Arbor’s community cable access center is moving. The Community Television Network will make its new home on the city’s south side this spring.

CTN plans to leave its current home at the
Edison Center when its non-renewable lease expires on March 11. The new home is in the Eisenhower Corporate Park, 2805 S. Industrial, near the 777 office tower at State Street and Eisenhower Parkway.

“The new facility gives us the opportunity to offer even more services and accommodations to our clients and viewers,” says CTN Manager Ralph Salmeron.

The new space includes a larger studio, expanded hotline studio, individual editing suites and a sound booth. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot and an AATA bus stop is in front of the building.

CTN has provided the Ann Arbor are with public, educational and government programming for
35 years, such as Ann Arbor City Council meetings and original local programs on CitiTV 19. The station currently provides programming for four channels total (16, 17, 18 and 19).

Controversy recently erupted when Comcast announced that Ann Arbor (along with other Michigan communities) would see their community programming moved down into the 900s and onto a digital access tier only, preventing citizens with analog televisions access to these long established channels. Last week a Detroit federal judge imposed a temporary restraining order preventing the move.
