FAAC plans to expand its facilities in Ann Arbor by early next year, a move that the firm expects will lead to 10 new hires before the end of the year. Four of those people have already been hired, expanding FAAC’s workforce to 130 employees and an intern. The 40-year-old defense firm, a subsidiary of Arotech, is doubling its facility size to 80,000 square feet, thanks to a new defense contract. “We just landed a record contract from the U.S. Army that will cause us to have revenue growth over the next three years,” says Dean Krutty, president of FAAC. That contract is worth $64 million. It calls for the design, development, production and delivery of 28 of the company’s Virtual Clearance Training Suites.
