ProQuest hires 50 in Ann Arbor, holds job fair for 24 more

ProQuest is hiring, creating a number of new jobs in Ann Arbor this summer. The research tech firm plans to hold a job fair today to fill 24 new positions. The new jobs include openings for Java software developers and architects, technology leads, Oracle developers and data warehouse developers. The job fair will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. at the company's Ann Arbor facility at 789 East Eisenhower Parkway. "We want to have them all filled by the end of summer," says Carolyn Rice, director of global talent acquisition for ProQuest. ProQuest has roots in Ann Arbor that stretch back to 1938. Today it is known for creating and developing software and IT products and services for research. It has hired about 100 people around the world over the last year, half of which are in Ann Arbor. Much of that growth has come from the company's efforts to reorganize its mobile application department to make it more nimble. "We continue to grow in size," Rice says.
