Developer nearly 99 percent done with Upland Green project in Ann Arbor

Upland Green is on the upswing in Ann Arbor. The mixed-use development has finished work on its commercial space, allowing the likes of Panera Bread and Qdoba to open their doors.

The type of businesses that make yuppies cheer are moving into Upland Green and opening their doors in the mixed-use development on the city’s north side.

Panera Bread and Qdoba are now open for business in the ground floor retail space overlooking Plymouth Road next to the northern entrance to U-M’s North Campus. About 3,700 square feet of the ground floor retail space is available for lease. The businesses are beneath 20 condos, of which XX are sold.

The loft-like condos feature balconies, hardwood floors, granite countertops and appliances. Parking is on surface lots adjacent to the building. The units range in size from 700 to 1,500 square feet and are priced between $135,000 and $325,000.

The Upland Green project sat idling unfinished for nearly a year before construction began again earlier this year. Ann Arbor-resident and attorney Bill Conlin is the developer of the project.
