For a downtown to remain vibrant and relevant there must, inevitably, be turn over. Old business models fade, new ones emerge. Ann Arbor’s downtown is not immune. Along with seismic shifts in the state, national, and global economy there are local impacts. How a community accommodates the preferences and practices of the next generation is important.
