Ford announces at U-M it will lead urban transportation effort

Finding new ways to solve our transportation problems in the age of Global Warming has become a priority for Ford. The local car company is leading an urban transportation initiative for the 21st Century.

Getting from Point A to Point B will be one of the world’s defining challenges in the age of Global Warming and Ford Motor Company has some innovative ideas about how to make that work.

Integrating different means of transportation, information technology and land use is the way to provide sustainable transportation in very large cities and address global warming.

 

That was the message delivered at a conference at the University of Michigan on Wednesday by representatives of some of the world’s most prominent automobile, energy and Internet technology companies.
