Sentinel Technologies plans to add 5-8 jobs in Ann Arbor by next year

Sentinely Technologies has big plans for Ann Arbor. The IT firm based in the Chicago area hopes its new Tree Town office will reach $5 million in sales this year, double that next year –all while creating 5 to 8 new jobs in the same time frame.

Sentinel Technologies is pretty picky where it sets up shop. So much so that not just any place in Michigan with a killer tax break would do. That explains why the Chicago-area IT company established its office and 11 new jobs in Ann Arbor recently.

 

“It’s a thriving, upbeat community,” says Brian Osborne, executive vice president of Sentinel. “There is a vibrancy to the community we liked and that’s not always the case in Michigan.”

 

Sentinal must have drunk the Ace Duece Kool-Aid since it expects to hire five to eight new people locally by next year and reach $5 million in sales.

 

“We expect to double that, at a minimum, in the second year,” Osborne says.

 

Sentinal makes its money selling, installing and designing uses for Cisco Systems. It also dabbles in data networks, voice networks, wireless networks and security systems,
