Winter Shadow Art Fair
‘Tis the season to support local artists and designers! Once again the Shadow Art Fair makes a 12-hour appearance at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti then fades into the wintery night air. Drink beer, listen to music and buy locally made tchotchkes.
Twice a year Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti plays host to the Shadow Art Fair, a 12-hour juried event that features live music and a cornucopia of locally produced artsy stuff.
In case you’re new to the scene. Concentrate captured one of last year’s fairs on video. Watch it here.
For the enlightened, here are some highlights of this season’s fair:
- Shadow Brew will be on tap in the evening. This winter’s edition is a stout made with chocolate, raspberries, blueberries, beets and other goodnesses.
- The Ann Arbor Film Festival’s space will be accompanied by the PLAY gallery’s Animation Station, which allows you to make your own animations on-the-spot.
- The Ypsilanti Citizen will be broadcasting live from the Brewery, conducting interviews and covering the event. (Read more about this start-up web-based news publication in next week’s Concentrate)
Admission will set you back a whopping 2 cents.
Yup, you read that right.
Now do you feel inspired to check it out?
Good.
