U-M’s Varsity Building renovation to hold zoology collection

The University of Michigan is moving forward with the renovation of the Varsity Building now that the university’s Board of Regents has approved schematic plans for the project.A renovation of 46,000 square feet of space to accommodate the university Museum of Zoology’s wet collection is on the drawing board. The development also includes a 6,000-square-foot storage area for the collection.The $17.6 million project includes a revamp of the building’s architecture and mechanical systems. The University of Michigan is moving forward with the renovation of the Varsity Building now that the university’s Board of Regents has approved schematic plans for the project.

A renovation of 46,000 square feet of space to accommodate the university Museum of Zoology’s wet collection is on the drawing board. The development also includes a 6,000-square-foot storage area for the collection.
