Ann Arbor’s re:group combines old and new media with job growth

re:group isn’t regrouping in Ann Arbor. The marketing firm is expanding, hiring two new people last year and expecting to hire a few more in the near future.

Ann Arbor-based re:group doesn’t discriminate when it comes to marketing.

“We don’t distinguish between old media and new media,” says Carey Jernigan, scout for re:group. “We do all of it.”

And the firm has done it so well enough over the last two years that revenues have grown 20 percent. Two year-old re:group has added two new people to its staff of 18 in the last year and expects to add another one or two people in the near future.

It plans on doing this by continuing to develop its client list. The company is “highly selective” of what clients it takes on, such as Lutron Electronics (the dimmer switch company). re:group plans targets companies in health care, biotech, finance and retail.
