Drawing from a digitized collection of nearly 2 million books, the Espresso book machine –located in the Shapiro Library lobby on U-M’s Central Campus– opens up a veritable library of out-of-print books to U-M students and faculty, as well as the public at large.
Printing, binding, cutting and covering, this print on demand device gives readers access to U-M’s pre-1923 collection along with books from from another online sources, like the Open Content Alliance.
Depeding on book-length, speeds may vary but the vast majority are dropped into your hot little hands in under seven minutes. And for only $10.
Heck, even the Library of Alexandria has one!
