Coming soon to a suburban office park near you – a newer, bigger and better headquarters for Aviation Fuel Co.

The aviation fuel supplier plans to nearly double its square footage on Ellsworth Road near the Ann Arbor Airport. The company plans to add 14,544 square feet of office space to its existing 19,803 square feet.

“It’s really a pretty nice building,” says Bruce Fowler, planning director for Pittsfield Township.

The building is a single-story structure with a walk-out sub floor. The plans are being reviewed by township officials who are expected to make a decision about approval later this year. Work on the expansion can’t move forward until the township gives its thumbs up.

Aviation Fuel, commonly known as Av Fuel, is a leading independent supplier of aviation fuels and services in the country. It supplies fuel and services to a large cross section of the aviation industry, including major airlines, freight and cargo companies, corporate flight departments, airports and the military.
