Ann Arbor under consideration for K-Dow headquarters

Big investment is investigating Ann Arbor as mega-corporation K-Dow considers Tree Town for its new headquarters.

Ann Arbor is in the running to be the new home to a $11 billion company looking to set up shop in Michigan.

Ann Arbor is under consideration for the headquarters for the new $11 billion K-Dow Petrochemicals, a spokesman for Dow Chemical Co. confirmed Thursday.

The city is among several sites in southeast Michigan being scouted.

David Winder, media relations manager for Midland-based Dow Chemical, said the company is looking at properties in Oakland, Wayne and Washtenaw counties, “including at least one in Ann Arbor.” He declined to name the specific site.
