Chicago, Denver and Ann Arbor. Those are the cities Ann Arbor-based CTC Technologies has opened up offices in in recent years. The IT firm hopes to continue expanding across the U.S. by adding an East Coast office soon, as well.

That would add another two or three engineering positions to the 5-year-old company’s employee base of 11, four of which were hired in the last year.

“We’ve been growing a lot in the last year,” says Corey Faupel, president of CTC Technologies.

CTC Technologies has been able to accomplish that by focusing on solutions for large IT systems; namely providing hardware and services for big data centers as well as major network servers.

Faupel saw a developing need for high-end IT work a few years ago and that realization has paid off. The company has since been growing by leaps and bounds as it attracts bigger and bigger customers.

“We have been taking on a lot of bigger projects,” Faupel says.
