Switchback growing, signs MichBio and Learning Care Group as clients
Not long after Concentrate wrote about Ann Arbor-based Switchback’s rapid growth and search for new employees, we find out why. The firm just signed MichBio and Learning Care as clients.
A new Ann Arbor-based start-up is experiencing some quick growth as it signs two high-profile clients.
Ann Arbor-based MichBio and Novi-based Learning Care Group have signed on with Switchback, a web-development company, to migrate their existing websites to a Drupal-based content management system.
MichBio is non-profit trade association committed to building up Michigan’s life science industry. Learning Care Group provides early education and care services to children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years.
Started in March by a small group of local web geeks who met at Ann Arbor’s Drupal User’s Group, Switchback has already signed ten clients. The company employs three full-timers and another four part-time employees. It is actively seeking a handful of experienced Drupal developers.
The company is also looking to tap into the University of Michigan’s School of Information for an internship program to help find the best ways to train the up-and-coming workforce.
