Stucchi’s Ice Cream to stay in Saline says new owner

Sweet tooths throughout Washtenaw County, stop worrying. Saline-based Stucchi’s Ice Cream is staying put after a transfer of ownership. In fact the beloved ice cream brand is looking to expand both in and out of the state.

Stucchi’s Ice Cream, one of Washtenaw County‘s most beloved staples, plans to maintain its presence in Saline. The new owner plans to expand franchising efforts for the brand.

A Metro Detroit businessman who owns the Papa Romano’s and Mr. Pita restaurant chains has acquired a majority stake in the Saline-based Stucchi’s ice cream company, with plans to franchise future stores both in Michigan and out of state.
