Ann Arbor’s Fry has been fished. The recently acquired e-commerce firm has been served up to a bigger company, but staying put.

Excerpt:

A Maryland-based company that makes software systems for the hospitality and retail industries has acquired Fry Inc., an Ann Arbor-based e-commerce development company, in a deal that could be worth up to $67 million. The acquisition by Micros Systems Inc. was effective Aug. 9.

Fry was founded in 1994 and run by David Fry, who will remain with new company as president. Fry is an e-commerce site design, development and management firm.
