SpamStopsHere going forward with sales expansion and job creation

SpamStopsHere is moving full speed ahead. The Ann Arbor buisiness’ revenues have steadily grown and it hopes to hire another 10 to 12 people this year.

Where spam stops, profits begin. Or so Ted Green believes. That’s the idea behind his latest venture SpamStopsHere, an email filtering service for businesses and individual domains.

The Ann Arbor-based company, a spin off GreenView Data, doesn’t have to do much hoping. Its revenues have been steadily increasing, up 63 percent last year and 30 percent so far this year. The 25-person company on the city’s west side hopes to hire another 10 to 12 people this year as its profits continue to roll in.

“We’ve been hiring someone about every two months,” says Green, the company’s president.

The company’s software is a data-base driven product that uses tools and staff to block spam email and other unwanted detritus from the digital realm. Green’s brother Phil Green developed the software in 2002.

The company is still working on expanding the service, which is only offered to email systems for businesses and other large entities with their own email system. It is also working on an email archive product meant to complement SpamStopsHere.
